In some cultures there are certain beliefs and rituals that if practiced people believe can bring fortune, achieve targets or hurt the enemy. Watching the Israeli military campaign in Gaza and Israel's attempts to stop the Hamas rockets, I went and searched in Jewish history to find any black magic or Kaballah or Satanism that will link putting an end to the Hamas rockets and the cutting of Palestinian children bodies into pieces. I have failed. I am still unable to understand the link. Could some one with deep knowledge of Jewish history tell me if there is such a black magic security formula that is based on killing children ?The so-called, amature, primitive and hand-made Hamas rockets which have mainly fallen in the desert were counter attacked by Israeli state-of-the-art F16s, apache planes and mountain-like tanks, not to mention attacks from the sea, against a civilian population. The fire power difference is one-to-a-billion in favour of Israel. Israel said it was targeting Hamas but all we see on TV are civilians killed and buried under their destroyed homes.
What has Israel achieved ? International condemnation and a stronger Hamas. In fact even Bin Laden and Shiite Hizbollah got more sympathy from Arab and Muslim moderates as a results of the horrific seens of dead Palestinian children carried by their crying parents. That is not the only achievement. Arab people who have accepted Israel right to live in the region, though not many, have switched now to old status of pre-1948 and Arab countries which were about to establish relationship with Israel is now at least 20 years away from this as this is the least time for people to let go such memories.
Five million Israelis must understand that they will spend the wrest of their life in trouble if they think they can challenge 1.5 billion Arabs and Muslims forever. In fact there another 1.5 billion non-Muslims in Europe, Latin America and Asia who also support the Palestinians. One can easily say it is the US and Israel against the wrest of the world
