Steven Lendman, in his latest article, The Latest Confrontation Between the US Empire and Evo Morales and Hugo Chavez observes that Hugo Chavez is taking a $22,000 a year salary while Bush takes a $400,000 a year salary. Steve is a wonderful writer, but I had to laugh at the $400,000 Bush salary. The way I figure it, Bush will leave office with billions, if not tens of billions in numbered accounts outside the US. He will be given stock options at disgustingly low prices. He will be hired on boards of directors for millions... in other words, he will leave the presidency filthy rich.

He will, undoubtedly, have spread his largesse around, so his friends and supporters also are enriched. It's obvious for Haliburton. But I'd guess there are hundreds of people, corporations and organizations benefitting from his corrupt, chronic patterns of operation.
