Facing opposition on the home front because of his war policies, and seeing traditional allies (with the exception of Great Britain and Australia) differ with him about his incessant use of force against other nations, the President has finally realized that prolonging this war in Iraq is not the policy he should follow anymore. The number of people and media organizations against him has almost doubled in the last year and his political party has been forced out of power in the halls of Congress. This has prompted the Bush administration to "ramp up" it's rhetoric as well as its rethinking the idea of military attacks on Iran. The Bush administration must believe that they can just keep attacking other nations until they finally get into a war that the nation can "get behind". That seems to be the only logical conclusion that I can come up with at this time.I am going to name this Bush's "Hit or Miss" policy. Actually, it's a win-win situation according to sources close to the White House (Duke). An unnamed spokesman that asked not to be identified explained the logic behind these "bold" moves by the Bush administration. He said that the people in the administration feel that the only way they can get any "real time" training for the active army and the guard and reserves, is to systematically invade those countries that the president doesn't feel "comfortable" with. This will allow for not only good "real time" training for the troops, it will also help to rid this nation of the huge supply of military hardware that has been building up since the end of World War II.
This unnamed source (duke) said that this policy has actually been in place since the middle of the last century. He pointed to all of the so-called "banana republics" in Central and South America that got their military training and weapons from the U.S. The Reagan Administration was a big proponent of actually using U.S. Troops to get the "real time" training that only active participation in combat operations can deliver. This "War" in Iraq he claimed, is not a real war, but only a "training exercise" that got a little "out of hand". The coming exercise with the Iranians will be the last in a three part program that Bush and Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld put together in 2000. The first part of the "real-time training" was the demolition of the World Training Center, followed by military intervention in Afghanistan. The second phase was the operation in Iraq, and the third and final part of this "Hit or Miss" "real-time" training scenario, will be the military strikes on Iran.
He explained that it's not only the military that is getting good "real-time training", but the Department of Spin is getting its first real extended operation since the 2000 elections. The source added that besides the great training for the government and the military, the elimination of the huge stockpile of weapons, some that have toxic by- products that if disposed of in the United States would pollute our groundwater and soil, are better off being exploded in other countries. He said that the "Trickle Down" effect of seizing Iraq's natural resources would help the economy, making this a win-win situation for everyone. Currently, the President and his friends are making sure that over 500,000 barrels of crude are taken every month. This is a huge windfall, one that we should be pleased with.
Meanwhile, the President will still keep his "hit or miss" policy going well into 2008. Our sources (duke) report that the President remains convinced that as he engages more and more nations, that he will eventually find a nation that the American people can feel good about conquering. He also said he will have a news conference shortly and that the nation will see a "new" George W. Bush. This he explained will be the "Happy Democrat-loving George" that he only uses on special occasions (Like Christmastime).
