The one thing we might have looked forward to, in an I Told You So sort of way, was for the birthers to finally admit it and say, I'm sorry, I was wrong.That has not happened. That is not going to happen. Instead, just the opposite has happened. After presenting concrete, absolute, undeniable evidence that constitutes proof that Obama was born in the USA, and after listening to two years of the birthers' lies and fraudulent claims, they're congratulating themselves for having been proven total frauds, liars and irrevocably wrong.
Donald Trump, for some incomprehensible reason, is ecstatic that he has been shown to be guilty of making false claims, that he is a fraud, that he has lied.
Some other birthers are still saying that the birth certificate is a fraud. They are denying the legitimacy of the certificate, even though it is exactly the same type of proof, in fact the only proof, of birth and citizenship they would have to present, if so required.
The birthers have not done the decent thing and offered an apology for having been wrong. They'll never say those words that would mitigate their guilt:
I'm sorry, I was wrong.
