We are really blessed at Opednews. Whether you're a believer or atheist, being blessed is a good thing.
I say that OEN is blessed because, in so many ways, things are really great here.
I look at the articles on the front page today-- articles posted within the past 24 hours.
We have such an amazing breadth and depth of writers and topics. I LOVE Chris Hedges article, The Best Among Us; Join the Revolt On Wall Street or Stand On The Wrong Side of History.
I can't wait to see many OEN editors and many of you in DC at Freedom Square on October 6th. And I know that those of you who can't make it will be supporting us there, as you have been rooting for and supporting the "best among us" who have been facing the pigs (there's no other words for bad cops like officer Bologna) at the Wall Street Occupation.

Robert Wolff is one of OEN's octogenarian wonders (we have quite a few.) I fell in love with Robert's writing when Thom Hartmann turned me on to his book, Original Wisdom
(Thom Wrote the introduction.) His latest article, Fiddling While the Planet Burns,
is about Global warming. Do yourself a favor though, and check out his member page for past articles, for his website and read his book.
I've just touched the surface of OEN's blessings. Our team of OEN editors-- line, senior, managing are extraordinary. Their dedication and support make the every day running of the site possible. Behind the scenes, our managing team-- volunteer managing editors Linda Milazzo, John Moffett and Mikhail Lyubansky... and occasionally former managing editor Cheryl Biren-- are dedicatedly involved on a daily basis making bottom up decisions on editorial policy. Then, we have our senior team-- Walt Brasch, Joan Brunwasser, Sheila Samples and Josh Mitteldorf-- more great minds and voices helping make OEN the great site it is.
OEN is up past 56,000 registered members, past 136,000 published articles. We're seeing 250-800,000 unique visitors a month-- 70% of them in the US, the rest world-wide.
When I go with other OEN editors to Capitol Hill, OEN is a known force there and we're welcomed with appreciation.
And it all happens because of YOU.
You read the great writing. You comment, you share with email, through twitter and Facebook. You make donations. You tell your friends. You write articles and diaries, post quick links to news and op-eds on other sites. We do it together.
So I thank you.
We made our budget this month thanks to all of you who contributed. We're still about $800 behind from last month, so it would be nice if we finished a little bit over, in the black this month, to balance out the shortfall last month. Click here to make a donation.
Or, to celebrate making budget this month, if you sign up as a premium member today,
for a year or longer, you will get your subscription extended an extra month, free, whichever plan you choose. Check out the options here.
Rob Kall has spent his adult life as an awakener and empowerer-- first in the field of biofeedback, inventing products, developing software and a music recording label, MuPsych, within the company he founded in 1978-- Futurehealth, and founding, organizing and running 3 conferences: Winter Brain, on Neurofeedback and consciousness, Optimal Functioning and Positive Psychology (a pioneer in the field of Positive Psychology, first presenting workshops on it in 1985) and Storycon Summit Meeting on the Art Science and Application of Story-- each the first of their kind. Then, when he found the process of raising people's consciousness and empowering them to take more control of their lives one person at a time was too slow, he founded Opednews.com-- which has been the top search result on Google for the terms liberal news and progressive opinion for several years. Rob began his Bottom-up Radio show, broadcast on WNJC 1360 AM to Metro Philly, also available on iTunes, covering the transition of our culture, business and world from predominantly Top-down (hierarchical, centralized, authoritarian, patriarchal, big) to bottom-up (egalitarian, local, interdependent, grassroots, archetypal feminine and small.) Recent long-term projects include a book, Bottom-up-- The Connection Revolution, debillionairizing the planet and the Psychopathy Defense and Optimization Project.
