This is the last straw, one too many convolutions of history too many. It is 1945 and you are a Jew caught in the most infamous places on earth. A living breathing man made hell known as Auschwitz. Millions had died before you, subjected to every horror imaginable to humankind. Then in January 1945 by the miracle of the gods the Soviet army over runs the crumbling German army and you are free.
At first your starved and disease ridden mind can not comprehend your salvation, but slowly with nourishment and attention you begin to grasp the miracle that has happened. The horror is over.
My family was not so lucky, My grandfather one of his sons and daughter entered one of these places and never came out. Only my grandmother and father escaped the Nazi Concentration camps. They were some of the fortunate few out of 6 million to escape the final solution. So you would expect that this era of history has a special significance for me.
Can you imagine the shock and loathing I felt when Barack Obama used Auschwitz in one of his memorial day speeches? How he had the unashamed and outrageous nerve to use those horrid events in self glorification. He said that his uncle was part of the squad that liberated the most notorious of death camps. But wait, later his staff said he misspoke. LIARS all of them! His uncle is said to have been part of the liberation of Ohrdruf. OHRDRUF? That was a sub camp that not one of his audience would have ever heard of. I having lost families in Trablinka never heard of that camp.
As far as any listener would have known it could have been some obscure town in Germany. No Obama Chose to use Auschwitz now there is a name almost everyone knows, every Jew alive knows that one. This was no mistake, this was used purposely and with malice of forethought. A big name a name that churns the stomach of almost everyone who hears it. All in order to ride the coat tails of a relative who served honorably for this country. He used Auschwitz in complete disregard of the hundres of thousands slaughtered there, to associate himself with a fraudulent act of heroism. This behavior is the lowest of the low. He did not misspeak he distorted facts to make himself look good at the expense of the millions dead. Anyone who is capable of this is capable of anything and does not deserve to be handed the keys to an dog catchers truck let alone the presidency.
