I'm not a Republican. This is not about politics. This is about common Human, Christian, American Honorable Christian decency. The Christian ethic that Glenn Beck represents in his words and deeds is a gross perversion of the example set by a man I greatly admire - Jesus Christ. I know very little about Mormonism - if Glenn Beck is representative of what it means to be a Mormon - these folks have obviously never read the New Testament. I guess they put more emphasis on honor than love?
Thinking about this gets me to thinking about my grandfather again. He was raised in a very strict Calvinist home. He loved to judge and gossip. However, he would do it in a very oblique manner. When he wanted to speak his mind he would preface it with, "If anybody...". For example if he was thinking out loud about a Mormon wanting to be President of the United States, he would say, " If anybody was a Mormon and wanted to be President of the United States, they sure need to think about how Glenn Beck and Fox News are making them look."
