We're looking for volunteers to work with us to cover different topics-- peace, energy, the environment GLBT, healthcare, women's rights, global warming.... I would call the job an editor job, but most people think that means editing grammar and spelling. That's not what we're looking for. If you read a lot of articles on a subject you're passionate about, if you send out articles, write articles, know who all the best writers are, the best websites, we want you to help us do a better job of covering that topic, that issue. We want you to help us publish more articles on the subject, by helping us ask writers for permission to reprint, by acting as an "acquisitions editor," inviting new writers to write for us. By identifying articles you think our readers should be seeing and quicklink posting the links to the articles on the site.

::::::::

Joan Brunwasser is our Voting Integrity editor. Read some of her articles to get an idea of how much fun, how gratifying the job has been for her. She's done all the things I've described above and more, writing articles, meeting people, attending conferences and creating projects and achieviving goals she did'nt know she had in her.

You don't have to be an expert or have a degree in anything. You need passion, enthusiasm and the desire to make a difference. We'll take that energy and passion and help you channel it, so you reach our 300,000 unique visitors a month. Sending out collection of articles to a few hundred or thousand people periodically? Let us help you take that energy and explode it to reach so many more people.

Not sure you have enough time? There's no time requirement. If you can put in a few minutes a day, an hour or two a week, you can make a difference. If you can put in more-- great, but it's not necessary.

Our editors-- Amanda, Joan, Russ--- they are the people who are making the difference at OpEdNews. So give it a try. I'll be happy to speak with you about your goals, ideas and concerns.

Best,

Rob Kall
