The Queen and some pasty chap in a moldy castle decide to sacrifice - and nuke - some Brits for a change.::::::::
The Dynamic Duo - US and UK - are such busy bees - royally radioactively contaminating one nation's lowly subjects after another! If there's any consolation personally, it's that my Scottish grandparents and aunts are no longer around to see this filth.
"Safety checks" they call this five day orgy of ceramic Uranium oxide poison-gassing of the land, people, birds, fish, and beasts of breathtakingly lovely Scotland. Uh, not for anything, but don't the 50 years of US "safety checking" US citizens with Uranium aerosols count as sufficient DU tank-firing "practice"?
Safety checks indeed. Some pasty white chap wearing a skirt and knee socks in some smelly old castle must have been feeling particularly homicidal one grey, foggy, dreary Seasonally Affective Disordered day and deemed it bloody high time the good people of Scotland received a few days of a toxic radionuclide "dose" to take them out slowly...from here to eternity.
And the sickest thing of all is that the Dynamic Duo sociopathic war makers could stop using Depleted Uranium munitions tomorrow - if they wanted to. But that would mean they'd have to give up the off-ing of all of us... the massive numbers of actual civilian "collateral damage" in nations throughout the globe. Fat chance they'll elect to do that on their own. Depleted Uranium is, after all, the ultimate in conveniently dispensed population control warfare.
Is there any doubt ancient barbarians still control the planet today, raping, robbing, and pillaging just like back in the Dark Ages? Only difference is that now the maniacal rulers have got better toys capable of firing invisible poisons that weaken, maim, and kill millions. And all that we, the primarily dumb-downed, clueless populace need to do is simply breathe...then die of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and other radiation-induced maladies - on cue.
Will God save the queen next time she visits the Balmoral Castle? Only if He, using all his omniscience and full gamut of diety-esque powers, quickly acquires the currently unavailable knowledge of technology and develops a new kind of gas mask with a HEPA filter capable of filtering out sub-micron sized nanoparticles of Uranium.
On second thought? With all of her Uranium holdings and complicity with her American genociding partners in crime busily, mercilessly nuking a few innocent nations as we speak? Why would God even bother? Let the queen save her own soul. But first, it would be only fitting, proper, and entirely fair that Queenie be required to do as her Kircudbrightshire countryside subjects will soon be doing - and cough up a Uranium particle ravaged lung - or two.
And if there's any justice at all in this world? May the next five days bring windy skies with gusts into open castle windows - in a most fitting and royal direction.

| | | Last Updated: Monday, 10 March 2008, 09:25 GMT | | Depleted uranium tests under way | | The firing range at Dundrennan is to be used for DU tests | The Ministry of Defence has announced a fresh round of depleted uranium weapons testing in south west Scotland. The Challenger tank ammunition will be fired at the Dundrennan range in Kirkcudbrightshire. The trials involving the DU shells will take place over the next five days in order to carry out safety checks needed for military operations. The MoD said that only a small amount of the ammunition would be used and full monitoring would take place. Depleted uranium is extremely dense and hard, and is used for armour-piercing bullets or shells. Fears about its health implications led to a study by the World Health Organisation in 2001 which concluded it posed only a small contamination risk. However, there have been claims to the contrary from the families of military personnel who have served in conflicts where it has been used. The tests in southern Scotland will be conducted by the defence research agency, QinetiQ. | DEPLETED URANIUM Has a reduced proportion of isotope Uranium-235 Less radioactive than natural uranium and very dense Military uses include defensive armour plating, armour-penetrating ordnanceCan be inhaled as dust or ingested in contaminated food and water near impact sitesUsed in Iraq, the former Yugoslavia | Thousands of DU rounds have been fired into the Solway Firth from the south of Scotland range over more than two decades. However, the latest testing programme is the first for five years. A short statement from the MoD said that public safety precautions were in place. "Agencies and regulatory bodies responsible for health and safety and environmental protection have agreed the arrangements," it said. "Comprehensive environmental monitoring programmes involving air, water, and soil sampling, have been in place at and around Kirkcudbright since the beginning of the DU munitions trials. "The findings continue to show that DU does not pose a significant risk to the environment or to members of the public or site personnel." Campaign groups continue to oppose the use of depleted uranium shells. They say that they are both chemically toxic and radiologically hazardous. They have also voiced concerns about the long-term risks to health and the environment. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/south_of_scotland/7287009.stm | | |
