Michael Moore is a true American genius, and this was/is his masterpiece. Or have I been saying that with each new movie MM releases?See it, "read 'em," and weep.
The market keeps absorbing stronger and stronger movies by MM - this one focuses on the debacle that got Obama elected because even middle Americans could recognize that a President who couldn't keep the Wall Street from crashing three weeks before the election HAD to be an incompetent fool. I say "focuses" in the sense of a magnifying glass, but the preceding 95% of the movie shows the consequences of an insane finance capitalism utterly removed from its moorings in working-class Americans. Leading up to Nasty Pelosi's "finest hour" - the complete capitulation by Congress the day after it "tried to curtail" Goldman Sachs and her political shills including Robert Rubin.
The Netflix DVD is old enough to have great subtitles, too. So, older Americans, like me: you can watch it while reading it.
Michael Moore Does Not Disappoint.
