For the first time since the Vietnam War Protests, Americans are banding together in solidarity to fight Senate approval of the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007. In just three of four days, there have been several more sites carrying this important message - and they increase every day. Now that the momentum is building, the necessity to ramp-up the pressure is tantamount to success, and winning this one fight will embolden our country to take-on other issues that deserve our attention as well. To date, these are some of the sites that linked to, or have published this call to action:

The above is not a full list of the sites discussing this matter and sending emails and making calls to their Senators in Washington, and no disrespect was intended for those who aren’t listed - as there are several more, but we must get back to the battle we are beginning to win! This is the gravest threat to our survival as a free and democratic society, and I implore those well-known sites that receive hundreds of thousands of visits a day to join-in with us to defeat this Bill!
If you’re wondering what kind of a letter you should email your Senators, or what you should say on the phone when you make your calls, use this link to Digg.com, where their membership was gracious enough to provide copies of their letters and suggestions for what to say when you send an email or call. Further, as a community that has demonstrated our abhorrence to S 1959, and the implications thereof if it passes the Senate, please urge the larger sites to join-in and carry this message. If enough of you email the site administrators, they will understand that it is the will of the majority that seek to defeat this Bill that they join in solidarity - and to do otherwise is not in the best interests of the people whom they help to represent. In joining together successfully and defeating this Bill, it will empower all of us to take-on other issues and know that together, we can make a difference - and that’s the most important message that is needed to fight a government that has forgotten the people and continues to represent corporate America instead of the people they were pledged to serve!
