opednews.com

If there is one thing that the majority of editors and writers on opednews agree upon, it is that the Democrats screwed us so our only hope is to vote for them.

::::::::

Rationalizations for this vary from saying that the Democrats only screwed us as part of an election ploy by Republicans, to rationalizing that the Democrats only screwed us because Nancy Pelosi had threatened them with martial law, all the way to explanations that the Democrats and the Republicans are only one party and do not represent us so the only sane thing to do is to vote for the Democrats.

Some of the more radical dissidents on opednews advocate salving your conscience by voting for an independent or third party candidate, and letting the central tabulators flip your vote to one of the major candidates instead of voting for them directly. These people are considered by the majority to be psychotic, but since they are advocating that we cast votes in an election where only a Democrat or a Republican can actually win, they are tolerated rather than vilified and excoriated.

Those who have studied election fraud and know that no matter how anyone votes, the election will be stolen, solemnly advise people to vote and to closely monitor, document, and video the theft of the election, so that after it is stolen they will know in minute detail exactly how it was stolen. Some of them have already called upon Attorney General Mukasey, nominated by the Republicans and confirmed by the Democrats for his known loyalty to the Bush administration, to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the Bush administration, and are confident, based on Mukasey's unblemished record of protecting Republicans from investigations, that he will do so.

However their rationalizations and plans of action may vary, the majority of opednews editors and writers are in total agreement that because they all oppose the wars and opposed the bailout, they are totally justified in voting for a Democrat who supported both, and that since the election is likely to be stolen and once again given to the Republican, is it very important to vote.

They also agree that anyone who suggests otherwise is a delusional moron and therefore not entitled to the same civility they demand for themselves.

I'm an anti-civilizationist and election boycott advocate in San Diego. For reasons not to vote in faith-based elections with secret vote counts for candidates you cannot hold accountable if they fail to represent you, check out the discussions, (more...)
