"Pelosi's Gamble on Iraq Pays Off," beams the Los Angeles Times. The reader is to believe that the Democrats have "employ[ed] their new Congressional majority to create the most forceful challenge yet to President Bush's war policy."
Today's headlines are parroting the lies of pro-war politicians -- AGAIN!”

So, what are the implications of this, for America, Europe, Russia, China; for Iran?
Never mind about the absolute carnage and 1 million Iraqi refugees fleeing Iraq with more to follow.
Don’t trouble yourself about the 600,000 deaths of Iraqi citizens and rising.
Never mind about the 3000 American dead soldiers and the thousands of wounded, amputees and devastated lives.
Never mind about the Congress not having the cojones to stop Bush in Iraq, or the inability of Congress to prevent Bush from attacking Iran.
Don’t look at the war games being played out with Russia, Kazakhstan and others.
Don’t bother about the military war exercises China is carrying out.
Ignore the treaties between Russia and Iran, China and Iran and all the investment in Iran of both of these countries.
Bush and his handlers of less than a dozen men will carry out their long ago conceived plans.
They do not require permission of Congress; they think that they have it already.
In any case they will ignore or veto any bill that even hints at stopping them.
So, with all of the above; America is finished.
The war/strike on Iran will inevitably lead to a wider conflict, which will include China, Russia, Pakistan, Syria and many other countries in the
Middle East.
Millions will die, even if the Pentagon doesn’t use nukes, in the first pre-emptive strike on Iran.
So, you Americans, isolated and separated by two great oceans from most of the rest of the world; how will all this effect you?
Will you still be isolated and separated from the wrath of the rest of the world?
Will you be able to live in peace in your own homeland?
With the Patriot Act II, with Halliburton building prisons for American or foreign ‘combatants?
Will anti-war protesters be arrested in their thousands?
Will you be taken in the dead of night in the coming police state, the coming suspension of further elections and Martial Law being declared?
Will you act when you see your neighbour being taken away, even though you have known him for years and he is in no way a terrorist?
How do you know that you are not next on the list?
You have nothing to hide right?
So your mail can be opened, your telephone can be tapped and your emails collected, right?
With the Democrats selling you down the river for the Industrial-Military- Complex that Eisenhower warned you about; you are powerless, divided, bamboozled by the media and kept quiet by all the lies and half-truths masquerading as news.
So, America is finished.
But first a large part of the world will suffer terrible devastation and millions of deaths – and then it will be your turn. Do you think you can escape the consequences of all this? Really?
