Ahhhh, Those OEN Ads You Love to Hate.

(NB. The vast majority of adverts at OEN are progressive and in line with OEN's goals and the goals of the vast majority of its members.)       

Oh, well, internet websites are the owner's personal property, so whatcha gonna do?  

What I've decided needs doing is to submit this Diary, with 5 examples of recent advertisements on OpEdNews which offended me personally or politically, in one case because the ad was blatantly pro-Right-Wing-Nut/Tea Party, in one case because the ad was for a Get-Rich-Quick Scheme, in one case because the add was blatantly pro-Israel, and in two cases because the ads were sexist.

I hope other members also publish Diaries listing the paid adverts at OEN which particularly offend their sensibilities. A Diary is the least obtrusive and most accessible way we members can make our views known, when we take serious issue with OEN's main politics and publishing policies. After all, silence implies consent, as someone said a long long time ago.
