I grew up wanting nothing more than to do work that would make me happy and able to support myself. In addition, I wanted it to mean something. There was never much chance of that as I grew into the labor market.Today I know that there is always something in work that is more than just that paycheck. We all know that those friendships and the kinds of insights into others' lives along with learning skills and being in a community of people can offer great rewards.
However, now, with the money people having come out as the biggest bullies on the block, it is time to shut them down. They are taking all that fun away and we need to show them a thing or two.
The only way to fight a bully is not to fight at all. Just walk away. Shut down every plant, every store, every business and just go out there and talk to each other. Do not watch tv, or listen to the radio or even turn on the computers. Just sit with your neighbors and talk about what you want and how you are all going to make that happen.
We can begin with how we are going to take the weapons of labor and salaries out of the hands of the people with money who will never have our best interests at heart. It just does not pay for them. Too bad, is all I can say. We can all of us just go on strike and shut the whole thing down.
