The truth is, the people pushing the man-made global warming agenda deliberately leave out the most important greenhouse gas....water vapor, the one that is 99.99% naturally occuring, and the one we can do nothing about.

::::::::

Here is the real truth...the climate is always changing...that is the definition of climate: long term changes in weather patterns in terms of rainfall and snowfall, temperature, cloud cover, and humidity. There are no 'climate change deniers,' as the climate is always changing, by definition; only people who deny that man-made contributions to greenhouse gases are a cause for concern, including many climatologists and meteorologists (like myself).

We are currently in what's known as an interglacial warming period, and have been since about 18,000 years ago when the Earth came out of the last ice age. It is SUPPOSED to be warming up during this period, and ice core samples from other warming periods show the earth has been even warmer in some of those periods than it is now, with even higher concentrations of CO2 as well than those observed now. CO2 is essential to all life on the planet; it is what all plants 'breathe' and if it were to drop to below a certain level, plants would start to die off...followed by animals that eat those plants and then the carnivores that eat those animals. Greenhouses routinely ADD CO2 to the air inside, to make the plants grow faster!

The current hysteria over man-made contributions to global warming is just that: hysteria. It is also a way to extract more tax money from people, and control more of their life. The thing is, all those so-called global warming scientists out there CONVENIENTLY forget to tell you that their figures leave out the biggest (by far) contribution to greenhouse gases that cause global warming: water vapor, which accounts for 95% of the warming, and is also 99.99% naturally occuring, meaning we have no way to combat it and by extension, no way to control global warming. Besides, warming up also means that more land is available to grow crops further north and south of the equator.

Here are some facts about C02:

Of the 186 billion tons of CO2 that enter earth's atmosphere each year from all sources, only 6 billion tons are from human activity. Approximately 90 billion tons come from biologic activity in earth's oceans and another 90 billion tons from such sources as volcanoes and decaying land plants.

At 368 parts per million CO2 is a minor constituent of earth's atmosphere-- less than 4/100ths of 1% of all gases present. Compared to former geologic times, earth's current atmosphere is CO2- impoverished.

CO2 is odorless, colorless, and tasteless. Plants absorb CO2 and emit oxygen as a waste product. Humans and animals breathe oxygen and emit CO2 as a waste product. Carbon dioxide is a nutrient, not a pollutant, and all life-- plants and animals alike-- benefit from more of it. All life on earth is carbon-based and CO2 is an essential ingredient.

CO2 that goes into the atmosphere does not stay there but is continually recycled by terrestrial plant life and earth's oceans-- the great retirement home for most terrestrial carbon dioxide.

The case for a "greenhouse problem" is made by environmentalists, news anchormen , and special interests who make inaccurate and misleading statements about global warming and climate change. Even though people may be skeptical of such rhetoric initially, after awhile people start believing it must be true because we hear it so often.

Here is a chart taken from a paper on global warming at this web address:

http://www.geocraft.com/WVFossils/greenhouse_data.html

Anthropogenic (man-made) Contribution to the "Greenhouse
Effect," expressed as % of Total (water vapor INCLUDED)

Based on concentrations (ppb) adjusted for heat retention characteristics % of All Greenhouse Gases % Natural % Man-made
Water vapor 95.000%

94.999%

0.001%
Carbon Dioxide (CO2) 3.618%

3.502%

0.117%
Methane (CH4) 0.360%

0.294%

0.066%
Nitrous Oxide (N2O) 0.950%

0.903%

0.047%
Misc. gases ( CFC's, etc.) 0.072%

0.025%

0.047%
Total 100.00%

99.72

0.28%

So the next time someone talks to you about global warming and how we all have to curb our C02 emissions or the world will end, you can point out that the biggest greenhouse gas is not C02, but water vapor, and we have no control over it, as 99.99% of it is produced by nature, not man.

here are some links that go into more detail of this subject matter...this is just a summary.
