Dear everybody:

We are surrounded by beauty which we cannot escape. Everywhere we go, there is a canopy of stars emanating their intricate weave of peace and light, all around us. Nature whispers into our souls, the crickets are nature's lullaby, and the birds chirp us their joyful "Good morning!" as we awake and start our day. Beauty is inescapable in the eyes of the millions of people all around us. From within, there is a light that shines and speaks of its presence in every human spirit. True, we all have our dark sides, our realities to deal with and our struggles. But the source of who we are emanates in every pair of eyes, and is so abundantly around us that we can't escape it. Life may have its hardships, but there is beauty and goodness all around. People struggle with light and dark,  but most of us desire naturally to do good and seek to live with love. The truth is an instinct which calls to almost all of us, as are the laws of love.

Those who do not live by the laws of love and truth are either so scarred that they can't "hear" the voice within, or are simply devoid of light. Let's make no mistake about it: Those people are the exception, not the norm. That's why they make media news. Those who make it into politics who are criminal are doing so because of sponsorship. Once again, the media distorts the truth from what it really is, darkening our minds with clouds which only block out the sun. But the sun is always there, and eventually it breaks up the clouds. Let's not be fooled by the telescopic vision of the media: Instead, let's look around and see the reality for what it is. That is, that most people care about doing good. They may fall short of the mark, but that is because of weakness  and not ill intent. The laws of love and truth call us all who are of a sound mind. And that is most of us.

I thank  every one here----every one of you---for your valorous work for truth and justice. I am impressed by the sharp minds of people on this forum, by the inquiries for truth and the work for justice as a spiritual necessity. The risks we take as we put all on the line are signals of bravery and ethic on everybody's part. Thank you all, I am thinking of you all even if I haven't met you in person, and I wish you all happy holidays with the joys of loving interactions, uplift and beauty in all of your lives.

May we imbibe the source of inspiriation which is everywhere, a little bit  on a daily basis. As we each imbibe of the goodness and beauty, the result spills out to others. May we never forget that "Selfishness"---ie joy, fulfillment and taking care of ourselves---- is a service to the world. Joy of life is contagious! May we spread hope as we work for the often discouraging work for justice and peace.

And let's not forget that the best things in life are free. A sunset, a blooming flower, candles and hugs, music on the stereo, a song we sing.....these are all the most uplifting things life can bring us, and are once again....all around us, within us , above us and beneath our feet! Peace and good wishes, Kathryn Smith

This quote summarizes the nature of my concerns and the content of personal experiences which stir my activism: "Necessity is the plea for every infringement on human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves". --Paul (more...)
