JENNA'S STORYActually, the real name of the book is "Ana's Story: A Journey of Hope." Don't get me wrong, I haven't read the book and don't plan on it. Other authors on my SH ... am list are Bush mom, Bush grandma, Cheney, mom, sisters and lovers - and any book by anyone in the Bush administration or goobers, Bush worshippers, or coat-tail hangers-on! Have I forgotten some?
The book is about a girl who has HIV, ... in South America. Ah, ... we have HIV kids, mothers, fathers, and friends, why would anyone want to read a book by someone who is NOT really involved with an AIDS victim. Jenna spends one year down in South America and leaves. This gives the girl enough information and experiences to write a book? Get real.
No I haven't read the book. I have, though, read the reviews on Amazon and can tell you the line splits by Bush lovers and then the real readers. "The worst book ever written, by the daughter of the worst president in The United States history?"
We've been involved with "other peoples kids" for over 20 years. Thus, I don't buy into the Christian mantra, "That's not my gift." Sorry, dude, getting involved with others IS everybody's gift. The fact is that Washington D.C. is a great place to work with poor and down and out! How do I know? My son took a year off after college and worked for The Christian Food Pantry in DC. He and his wife will be graduating from Seminary in DC, this Spring.
As we all know, the Bush girl would have never even gotten an agent nor would she have had her book "Ana's Story," published other than "self-published," which her rich family should have considered.
Wanna' good laugh? Go to Amazon and search for her book. Read the reviews. Then go to the bottom of the page and click on "Recent discussions in the Ana's Story: A Journey of Hope forum." I'll be honest, you won't read much, but you'll get a belly-busting laugh when you take it all in and realize what's going on. Why would anyone set up a forum, if ... . Go to Amazon!
