9/11 Truth Advocate Kevin Barrett Crashes the Gatekeepers' Party "Fear and Loathing at the National Conference on Media Reform"
Why won't the "alternative" media cover 9/11 truth? Noted 9/11 truth advocate and No Lies Radio News correspondant Dr. Kevin Barrett hoped to find an answer at the National Conference for Media Reform...but instead he found that the topic had been blacked out by the organizers! Out of more than 500 presenters, not one addressed the issue. Barrett discovered that Dr. Peter Phillips of Project Censored had submitted a proposal for a truth emergency event dealing with 9/11 and other issues - but that proposal, like other 9/11 truth proposals, was rejected. In other words, Project Censored...was censored! Hoping to find out why the nation's premiere "alternative" media conference was covering up the most important historical event of the century, Barrett asked impertinent questions of Amy Goodman, Dan Rather, Phil Donaghue, Norman Soloman, various Media Studies professors, and a talking polar bear, as well as Media Reform Conference honchos Robert McChesney and John Nichols. While some of the attempted interviews were rebuffed, others resulted in illuminating conversations - none more illuminating than Barrett's discussion with FBI 9/11 whistleblower and Time Magazine Woman of the Year Coleen Rowley, who called for a Truth and Reconciliation Commission to heal the wounds of 9/11 and the 9/11 wars. Barrett's take on the Media Reform Conference, held in Minneapolis June 6th-8th 2008, offers an insightful and often hilarious example of truth-seeking gonzo journalism at its finest.
