Democracy is a wonderful thing, but when 56 million people vote for John McCain, knowing that Sarah Palin is one heartbeat away from the presidency, democracy takes a bad hit.- I am still recovering from a mild case of PTSD at how close we came to Sarah Palin as Commander-in-chief.
Reports are now coming out that Sarah Palin didn't know that Africa was a continent, she didn't know which countries comprised NAFTA and she probably thinks because she can see the moon from her backyard that it qualifies her to be an astronaut. Well, Palin is an astronaut alright, with the full space of the universe between her ears.
I thought George Bush was dumb--or should I say ill informed and uncurious--but Sarah Palin makes Bush lookprofessorial. The light of truth will now shine on the McCain campaign and show how Palin created a disaster that they were ill-prepared for. As Sarah Palin's shooting star gets snuffed into the cold and darkness of Alaska, it is befitting for her to be in a place where the light hides for most of the year. She's back where she belongs.
We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, rejected McCain/Palin, but over 56 million people were willing to roll the dice and put their country at risk by voting for McCain/Palin, knowing full well that Palin could become president at any time. We dodged a headon collision with a train and must take a deep breath while shaking at the thought that death was just a few inches away.
All right, I have now composed myself, the PTSD is starting to fade and the Palin train is now 6000 miles away safe and secure from civilization. We can now concentrate on getting this country in order, or at least back on track. The B+O is leaving the station. All aboard.
