Just a comment before you get to this article. Is it a coincidence that the states that routinely vote republican are drugging their children more? Republicans tend to like to leave things the way they are, to avoid change. ADDers tend to have ants in their pants. co- Author of DRIVEN TO DISTRACTION, Dr.  John Ratey, says ADHD is more prevalent in the US, Israel and Australia because of all the immigrants who moved there. There were the people who got up and left.

ADD people may actually need change.

People like Thom Hartmann and Lynn Weiss portray ADHD as a difference, even a gift, rather that a group of behaviors that ought to be drugged into oblivion. If you have a child who is ADHD or if you are, you owe it to your child or self to check out these other approaches.
